Mobile video dating is such a new territory, that it can be tricky to know the ins and outs right off the bat. It is tempting to have a standard video message you send to everyone you’re interested in, but that is a huge mistake. Customize your video messages to the person you’re chatting with to show them that you’re interested. This leads to more genuine connections and shows the person that you’re paying attention to their profile.
2. Don’t give out personal details too quickly
While connections may be deeper and happen more quickly with video dating, remember that it is still online dating and some caution is necessary. Don’t give out personal details like where you live, until you meet them in person and develop trust with them. A surefire way to scare people away is having a dirty room in the background of your video messages or your live video chat. It’s something that’s overlooked when dating through text messaging apps because there is not that visual component. 4. Don’t go in with the mindset that video dating isn’t “real dating”
Just like you’re a real person using your mobile phone to date, video profiles on apps are connected to real people on the opposite end of the phone.
